The Hundred - Format

As with other limited overs cricket formats, The Hundred has some quite unique rules, which are unfamiliar to most. Any new format is both exciting for fans and players, as they get used to a new way of playing. It also opens up some exciting betting markets, which we will endeavor to look out for.

The format for the Hundred;

  • 100 balls per innings
  • Bowlers will ball either 5 or 10 consecutive balls
  • Bowling team changes ends after 10 balls
  • Bowlers can deliver a maximum of 20 balls
  • Teams can call time outs – up to 2.5 minutes
  • Each team starts with a 25 ball powerplay
  • 2 fielders can be outside the 30 yard during the powerplay.

There will be a total of 32 matches where each team will play four matches both at home and away.

This will include a match against all other teams plus a bonus match against their nearest rivals.

When the league has finished, the top 3 teams will battle it out in a playoff to decide who are the Champions.
