Sunrisers Hyderabad v Rajasthan Royals Tips & Odds [11-10-20]

Sunday sees the second-day fo double headers and the first match is Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Rajasthan Royals. The Royals come into the match on the back of a loss against the Dehli Capitals on Friday. They now sit seventh in the table and have lost four in a row.

After a poor start with back to back loses the Sunrisers have found some form and find themselves third in the table (written before DC take on RR on Friday). They are one of three teams with three wins on the board and have a respectable run rate of +0.232 so far. With a 50% win rate that is okay for us. They come into the game on the back on the emphatic win over Kings XI Punjab.

In our preview, we will cover the latest form of both teams and find three value betting tips.

SRH v RR Betting Tips

Tip 1- Who will win the match? Sunrisers Hyderabad 4/5

The odds on the Sunrisers look good to us at 4/5. With three wins in their last four matches, they are level with all the other top four teams in terms of recent form. We have been really impressed with their matches so far and they have shown they have a little more on offer than we expected pre-tournament.

The win that caught our eye was the performance in the 15 run win over the Dehli Capitals. The Capitals have been one of the standout teams of this years IPL and this was a big win for the Sunrisers. Batting first SRH clocked up 162/4 from their 20 which looked a reasonable score on the pitch. Bairstow and Warner got them off to a good start getting 53 runs and 43 runs respectively.

After that Kane Williamson came in and got himself 43 runs. The run rate wasn’t majorly high but in the conditions, this looked a respectable score.

With the ball, SRH performed well. The top performer was Afgan Rashid Khan who took 3/14 from his four overs. Economy wise he was well supported by Kumar and Natarajan who both conceded 25 runs from their four overs. This kept the Capitals down to 147/7 from their 20 overs meaning a 15 run win for the Sun Risers. With Rashid Khan in the team, they are capable of beating anyone on their day.

Before the Capitals game on Friday, the Royals had lost three games in a row and looked a team that was all over the place. Archer has performed well with the bat but at times struggled to hit his line and length with the ball. Sanju Sampson started the IPL on fire with explosive scores in the first two games but has failed to get a score in the last three. They seem to struggle to get the score going despite having Steve Smith and Jos Buttler in the side. In most games, it is either one or the other that gets a decent number of runs and not both.

With all this in mind, we are happy to back the Sunrisers Hyderabad to beat the Dehli Capitals at 4/5.

Tip 2 – Ben Stokes Man of the Match 8/1

I think the whole cricketing world is excited to see Ben Stokes back on the pitch. Whilst he’s on the Royals and it is rare for a losing player to take the man of the match Stokes looks a good bet to us. He has constantly shown the quality that he has in the T20 game and world cricket. He comes in after quarantine and will be focused and raring to go.

Stokes set to return to the Royals lineup

He could put in a great performance but we would still expect the Sunrisers to win. After what he has been through in the last couple of months it would be great to see him get the man of the match award in this game.

Tip 3 – Archer to hit the most sixes 33/1

This is a small stakes outsider bet for the match and we need Archer to come in when they need runs. On a couple of occasions, Archer has been launching sixes out of the ground like a top-order batsman. The odds of 33/1 for this to happen again are too good for us to ignore here.
