  • The Royals bowling attack has really struggled without main man Archer.
  • In the last match, they failed to take a wicket as RCB chased down 180 without losing a wicket.
  • The Wankhede wicket looks great for batters but Rajasthan only managed to put on 179 and were 43/4 early in the innings.
  • The tournament has been a struggle so far with just one win coming as a surprise against the Dehli Capitals in their second match.

Latest stats and trends
  • KKR has the same record as RR but we have seen more from them, they have had much closer matches.
  • In 3 of the matches, the openers have performed well and made reasonable scores to set the innings up. In the chase against CSK, the middle order saved them with an incredible 66 off 34 balls from Pat Cummings. This saved some respectability but wasn’t enough to get a win.
  • Andre Russell has the most wickets but has been very expensive with the ball. His 9 overs so far have cost 112 runs.
  • Cumings has again failed to light up with his bowling, taking just 4 wickets at an economy of 9.12. This is not good enough for one of the most expensive buys in IPL history.

Match Prediction & Tips

Match Prediction: Kolkata Knight Riders to win at 4/5*

The odds have the Knight Riders as the slight favourites but we think they should be at shorter odds than they are here. We have seen enough from them in their games so far to really give them a good chance of winning here.

Their batting line up has performed well in general and the Royals bowling has struggled. We are predicting a comfortable win for Kolkata.

  • Pick 1: Cummings under 1.5 wickets 4/7*

Cummings has been struggling since his big-money move last IPL. His wicket-taking record is poor and this looks good odds for his struggles to continue.

  • Pick 2: Nitish Rana over 2.5 fours 10/11*

Rana has 19 fours in 4 innings so far. Against the bowling of Rajasthan, he should be able to add to that tally quickly.
