MI v DC Betting Tips

We have three tips for this knockout game!

Tip 1 – Match Prediction – Mumbai Indians to win 10/11*

We’re backing this one with 22bet who are our preferred cricket betting site (see the full cricket betting sites list here). The odds and form mean we cannot ignore the Indians to beat the Capitals on Thursday. New will look over the two teams from to show why we are happy to back them to win here.

Head to head record

As always the two teams have met twice in the group stages – here are the results

  • 11/10 – Mumbai Indians win by 5 wickets, 2 balls remaining
  • 31/10 – Mumbai Indians win by 9 wickets, 34 balls remaining

In the last game just 5 days ago Dehli Capitals were very poor as they have been in the last 5 matches. They set a woeful target of 111 to win and Mumbai picked them off in 14.2 overs for the loss of just one wicket. This was one of five defeats in a row that took them from the top position to needing to win their last game to make sure they qualified safely. With a net run rate of -0.109, there’s a lot of work to be done if they are to make the final!

Top players for each team

Mumbai Indians Batsmen

  1. De Kock 443
  2. I Kishan 428
  3. S Yadav 410
  4. R Sharma 364
  5. K Pollard 259

The top three have all had an excellent tournament and delivered lots of runs.

Dehli Capitals Batsmen

  1. S Dhawan 525
  2. S Iyer 421
  3. R Pant 282
  4. M Stoinis 249
  5. P Shaw 228

Not quite as impressive as the Indians but some good scores. Stoinis has had a much better tournament than in previous IPL’s. After Shaw they really lack any consistent runs from the middle and lower order, this seems to be where they have struggled in matches when the top order doesn’t perform, as the last game against Mumbai Indians.

Tip 2 (long shot) – 400+ runs in the match 11/1*

At 11/1 this is one of the longer odds bets we’ve selected in our cricket betting tips for the 2020 IPL. This is a bet that is the comb ended score of both of the teams to be over 400 runs. Both teams are capable of getting big score with the payers they have and this is 1 v 2 from the IPL table. We could see the opening team getting a big score followed by a big run chase!

Tip 3 (value bet) – Kagiso Rabada over 1.5 wickets 1/1*

Rabada is the top wicket-taking bowler in this years IPL with 25 wickets from 14 matches. If Dehli is going to take wickets in this match then you would expect to see Rabada taking them!
