Today’s match sees the bottom two sides compete. CSK were the second favourites at the start of the tournament but after starting with a good win over the Mumbai Indians they have lost their next two to sit bottom by their net run rate. RSH has also managed one win from three, although this is more in line with expectations. They were one of the favourites to finish bottom of the table!

Despite sitting bottom the Super Kings are still the favourites in this match correctly in our opinion. They have a better 11 and squad than the Sunrisers although that does not always mean they will win.

CSK v SRH Betting Tips
Tip 1 – Who will win the match?
We are happy to back the Super Kings here at 4/5 with 1xBet. They have the strongest of the two teams and are not too short in terms of the odds. With another win, we would expect to have seen them at odds of around 8/13.
It is fair to say in their last outing CSK were poor and failed to chase down 175. They ended up well short at 131/7 after the wickets kept falling. They just could not get going with the bat and you have to say that the Dehli Capitals performed well with the ball. Rabada was a particular highlight ending with figures of 3/26.
Before that, we had felt that CSK were performing well. They had started the tournament well beating the favourites the Mumbai Indians in the opener. Next up they had a reasonable performance against the Rajasthan Royals. With the ball, they performed well and times and not at others. Smith and Samson got stuck into the runs and it looked like they would make around the 170-180 mark.
Then Jordan Archer came in and started to swing his bat. The bowling went to pieces and he finished with 27 from just 8 balls. This was a disastrous last couple of overs for CSK. With the bat, they had a decent go at reaching the 217 they were set but fell 17 runs short in the time.
Although they have lost the last two the quality should come through here for them to get another win on the table.
The Sunrisers started with back to back defeats but came good last time out to bank their first points of the tournament. With Warner, Bairstow and Williamson they pose a threat with the bat but when the openers don’t perform they seem to struggle further down the order.
It will be interesting to see how wins the toss and what they opt to do. For the Super Kings I would be looking to bat first and the same if the Sunrisers win it. We have seen the later dew on the ground come into play for teams bowling second and this could again be a factor here.
Tip 2 – Faf du Plessis top CSK Batsman 5/2
du Plessis has been the top batsman so far and his experience is showing in this tournament. He’s batted well in every game and just plays his own game without ever looking rushed. We’ve been impressed with how solid he has been and this again looks a good bet. His main competition will probably come from Bairstow who has explosive innings in him.
Tip – 3 Rashid Khan over 1.5 wickets 10/11
When I scrolled through the odds on this game I was amazed to see this price on Afgan Rashid Khan. He’s currently, in our opinion, one of the top spin bowlers in T20 cricket. In his last match, he gets 3/14 from his four overs. That’s some astonishing figures of both wickets and economy.
The pitches in the UAE seem to suite the spin blowers and Khan looks like a player who could have an outstanding tournament. If you check the latest IPL odds you will see that he is the second favourite in the top bowlers market. The market runs on total wickets and is then sorted by economy rate – something Khan excels in.
This looks set to be an excellent match and we are hopeful for some winning tips!
