Heat v Stars – Latest Betting Odds

This is the usual type of odds with a slight favourite in the match – The Melbourne Stars.

To win the match odds*

  • Brisbane Heat 10/11
  • Melbourne Stars 4/5

After the poor performance from Brisbane Heat last time out it is no surprise to see them at odds against. Melbourne Stars are the current favourites to win the tournament at 9/2 odds with 10Cric India. Brisbane heat are a close second favourite at 5/1.

Total wickets in the match odds*

  • Over 11.5 4/5
  • Under 11.5 9/10

So far this season there has been 3 games in the BBL and two of these has gone over the 11.5 wickets – Sydney Thunder v Brisbane Heat & Perth Scorchers v Sydney Sixers. A side from that there has been one game with 9 wickets. This gives an average of 12.3 wickets so far in the tournament. Neither of these odds are appealing to us yet as we will wait to see more stats before betting on this market. If we had to we’d go for over in this match.

To hit a 6 odds*

  • Chris Lynn 1/2
  • Glenn Maxwell 8/15
  • Tom Banton 4/7
  • Matthew Renshaw 4/6
  • Max Bryant 8/11
  • Nic Maddinson 4/5
  • Marcus Stonis 10/11
  • Ben Dunk 6/5

The odds on this market seem to keep getting shorter as more matches are played and more sixes are hit. However, this remains one of our favourite markets to bet on. It’s a market that you will find on all cricket betting sites and we check the odds from them to make sure we are getting the best value.

Looking at these odds there’s a couple of players to avoid – Marcus Stonis is expected to be dropped for this game. Ben Dunk averages 0.5 sixes per game in the Big Bash League – not very good value at 6/5!

A couple of players have caught our eye in this market again – Read on to find our tips for this match

Brisbane Heat v Melbourne Stars Betting Tips

We have 3 tips as always for todays match. There is another game on today and we will have tips for every match – check our our cricket betting tips post here.

Tips 1 – Brisbane Heat to win the match 11/10

At odds on we can see some real value in this bet. so far in BBL 9 we have called the match winner correctly in every prediction we have made.

In the head to head record Brisbane Heat have won 7 of the 10 matches. This included and absolute thumping in BBL 8 where they chased down  152 runs in just 10 overs without losing a wicket! Let’s hope they bring that heat tomorrow!

Brisbane Heat betting tips

Whilst, as mentioned above, the Heat lost their opening game we would expect them to come back fish thing for this game. They are the second favourites in the BBL for a reason and that is due to the quality of their squad.

Odds are taken from 22bet India for this tip.

Tip 2 – Nic Maddinson to hit a six 4/5

He’s slightly odds on to hit one six and we are happy to take that. In his BBL career he has 62 sixes in 65 games. At almost one per game that is good value odds to us. Odds also from 22 Bet India.

Tip 3 – Betway #BetYourWay – Any opening batsman to be dismissed for a duck 6/1

This is our tip from Betway India and is for any of the 4 openers to be dismissed for a duck. At 6/1 it is longer odds than our main picks and we are advising a smaller stake on this bet because of that. We have only seen one duck from an opener so far this season. We’re thinking that the Stars will be keen to get started while the pressure will be on the Heat to get a good start. These odds are enough to tempt us to this bet.
